Youth Volunteers
  • Animal Care Youth Volunteers can help take care of our live animals!
    • Weekly commitment required
    • Ages 10-14 required to volunteer with parent attendance
    • Ages 15-18 requires signed permission slip
  • Junior Volunteer program offered in the summer for ages 10-14
  • Internships sometimes available for youth or college age volunteers
  • Families can volunteer all together!  Open space monitoring positions and special projects are available for families.

Volunteer Groups
Volunteer groups have helped us in the past with:
  • Tree planting
  • Rain-garden installation
  • Butterfly garden planting
  • Weeding projects
  • Pruning shrubs
  • Clearing hiking trails
  • Collecting wildflower seeds
  • Much more
Call to see if partnering with the Nature Center and the City of Maplewood might be a good fit for your group!  We’ve had 3rd grade scout groups to college service groups to adults in Garden Clubs.  Elementary service learning programs are available as well.
