Recreation
The Maplewood Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs for youth and adults that encourage a positive leisure lifestyle through dance, sports, arts and other enrichment activities.  Recreation programs provide opportunities for socialization, personal growth, physical activity, character building and integrity development. We strive to stay on the cutting edge of current recreation trends and are proud to offer MORE THAN EVER BEFORE!

Adopt-A-Park
The goal of the Adopt-A-Park Program is to provide an opportunity for interested parties to take part in maintaining our park system. By providing this opportunity it not only encourages and promotes community involvement but also allows us to beautify and improve our parks. All Adopt-A-Park projects should aim towards benefiting the majority of park users.

This opportunity is available to any individual, family, resident, group organization, or business who is eager to help beautify our parks.

The Adopt-A-Park commitment period is between April 1 – October 31.  Applications are accepted throughout the year and require a minimum of once a month dedication.  After a 60 probationary period, a recognition sign will be displayed at the park of choice.

For more information, please view our brochure and guidelines.

Youth Scholarship Fund
Why become a sponsor?

The benefits of becoming a scholarship sponsor:
 - Positive brand recognition
 - Highly visible way to show support for your community
 - Make a real difference in the future health and well-being of children
Who does the scholarship program benefit?
The Youth Scholarship Program serves Maplewood residents under the age of 18 who demonstrate financial need and may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in recreation programs. The scholarship fund is used for those participants that demonstrate a financial need. Families are asked to pay one third of the program fee and the scholarship fund covers the remaining two thirds of the fee.
Maplewood Parks and Recreation serves approximately 6,000 youth through our recreation programs and sports leagues per year. Scholarship requests have increased substantially in recent years. We ask for your support so that all Maplewood youth have the opportunity to participate in the great programs we offer!
Scholarship Opportunity
Sponsorship of our scholarship program is a great way to show your support for Maplewood Parks and Recreation and the community.  Your contribution will make a huge difference in the lives of our participants and enable them to build a positive and healthy lifestyle through recreational programming.  Please consider making a donation to the scholarship program and making “wellness, arts, and fun for everyone” a reality for our Maplewood youth.

For more information on the available levels of scholarship sponsorships, please look at the scholarship brochure.
